World economic forum ANNUAL MEETING IN DAVOS

January 15-19, 2024

Business, meet tech.

In January, leaders from business, government and civil society will convene at the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF 2024) in Davos, Switzerland, in search of solutions to critical global challenges. This year’s event theme, Rebuilding Trust, focuses on restoring trust in our future, trust within societies, and trust among nations, in a world that has gone through profound and disruptive transformations. As a WEF strategic partner and global industry leader, we’ll be taking part in those critical conversations.

We’ll also be welcoming guests to the Capgemini Pavilion, where we’ll be hosting panel discussions and showcasing demos around the following theme:

We believe tomorrow belongs to those who can bring technology and business together.

When digital meets physical, when Gen AI meets creativity, and when sustainability meets scalability, you can truly unlock the value of tech for your business.

A sneak preview of what we’ll be showcasing

Join the conversation

The impact of technology on the labor market

Some of the most high-profile conversations will be shared by live stream from the WEF congress centre, including a public session on Wednesday 17 January (15:00-15:45 CET) with Capgemini CEO Aiman Ezzat: “What to expect from the labor markets?“.

The session promises to be a real eye-opener. Technology, sustainability and geoeconomics continue to reshape the jobs landscape in 2024, while deeply divergent patterns for talent availability emerge in developed and developing markets. Speakers will be asking: What is the outlook for the year ahead, and what should be the priorities of governments and employers?

Watch this space, more details will follow shortly on how to watch.

Industry net zero

Roshan Gya, Capgemini Invent CEO, will be taking part in an affiliate session on industry net zero with a focus on Scope 3 opportunities on 17 January (10:15 – 11:15 CET).

To achieve net zero by 2050, industries face an inescapable challenge: addressing value chain emission – defined as Scope 3, and accounting for more than 70% of global GHG emissions – at a much faster pace. To take a step forward, following the momentum of last year’s discussion, the WEF’s Industry Net Zero Accelerator Initiative has focused on Scope 3 challenges and opportunities.

This session follows one year of academic research, consultations with a community of 30+ industry executives, and a benchmark of 100+ companies. The initiative has unveiled 3 major opportunity areas in the path towards net zero: making profound changes in products and business models, grasping the potential of new technologies, and re-thinking value chain collaboration. Read more about it here.

Talks at our Pavilion will include everything from a look at the dual frontier of sustainability and digital transformation, to how to boost productivity with Gen AI, a CEO perspective on giga factories, and promising futures for healthcare, the world of work, and the bioeconomy.
